With a text printed in 18 pt. type, these volumes contain all the articles, amps, and illustrations found in the one-volume edition, except for a few illustrations and one map. This large print edition meets the publication standards of the National Association for Visually Handicapped (NAVH). The encyclopedia contains more than a million words in 15,000 entries made accessible by arrangement in a single alphabetical sequence. The articles cover a broad range of subjects of both contemporary and historical interest; about one-third of them are biographies.
