This handbook summarizes the new progress made in the last ten years in anther culture, and in cell protoplast culture in forest trees, oil trees, medicinal trees, spicery trees, dyestuff, desert tress, flower trees and plants and rubber trees. The first part consists of review articles dealing with progress and utilization of tissue culture, techniques of anther and mass propagation and progress of cell and protoplast culture. The second part describes techniques of tissue culture of different trees. Progress achieved in this field is in greatly increased production, creation of new varieties with better quality and resistance and mass propagation of good nursery stock.
